The Beverly Farmers’ Market is hosting young entrepreneurs at the Tuesday markets. Young people are encouraged to showcase and sell the products that they have made. If you know a young person who would like to participate, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or come to the market on Tuesday for more information.
One of our first young vendors is Dreya. She has some great craft ideas and is doing well at the market. Stop by and say hello.
Corks Galore: Bottle Caps and More
Dreya honed her crafting skills when, three years ago, she had to fill her days without internet or cable. She searched for craft item ideas that would be useful and attractive to people who shopped at the market. The idea of recycling items and using them for a different purpose appealed to her. Her two best selling items are both attractive and functional. Bottle caps that would normally go into land fill have become fridge magnets, holding important notices and kid’s art. Cork key chains are a brilliant inspiration, handy for boaters who carry their keys with them. The cork keeps the keys floating if the keys fall overboard.
